Trinidad Tobago is a country in West Indies, Caribbean sea. Carnival is very famous.
This was pre-carnival trip.  I looked for a hotel that has a ground floor room.
At pan yard ( steel drum training place), we can hear great sounds.

Panorama Final, Steel drum national contest in Trinidad Tobago.
Each town has a team. The number of one team is 100 players.
The sounds are great. It beat our soul.  EXODUS is 2003 champion team.

Dress contest on a street.

Devils also come.  I was caught by monsters.

National dress contest.  Queen and King are chosen.  Right photo is 2002 Queen.

Right photo is 2002 King.  His performance was interesting.  He danced and made a laser beam from his head.

 JUVE starts 4 am of the 1 st carnival day.  We are painted and mud by many people.  

When the sun rises, JUVE finish and carnival starts. 

Ayako and Masato joined carnival with me.  We shared a room.

At night, we met Trinidad wheelchairs.  One man made his original hand-control on his car. 

2nd day of carnival.  Costumed people walk and dance after music truck.

Carnival special dance is called " Wine Dance ".  
Man and woman put their important spot together and swing their waist.

Steel drum team also play on their truck.    Paradise !!
